If you’re the owner of a Discord server, you may have noticed the “Owner” role has a special crown next to it. This is to indicate that the person with this role is, well, the owner of the server! However, there may come a time when you need to remove this role from yourself or someone else.
Here’s how to do it.
First, you’ll need to head to your Server Settings. You can do this by clicking on the server name in the left-hand column of your Discord home screen. From there, click on the “Roles” tab.
Next, find the “Owner” role in the list of roles. You can do this by scrolling through the list, or by using the search bar. Once you’ve found it, click on the role to open up its settings.
In the “Role Settings” menu, scroll down to the “Role Delete” section. Here, you’ll see a checkbox next to the “Delete Role” option. Checking this box will delete the role from your server.
Once you’ve checked the box, click on the “Delete Role” button. This will confirm that you want to delete the role. After doing so, the “Owner” role will be removed from your Discord server!
